"The Faculty of ""Arts and sports "" is one of the faculties that not only provides education to young people, but also provides high - quality education and conscious education, to a certain extent, implements the country's interests and goals in the training of athletes, designers,artists, teachers-musicians, teachers of artistic work, organizers-teachers, theater actors and directors, pop singers, choreographers, teachers of primary military training and competent, competitive specialists."

In August 2006, it was separated from the pedagogical faculty and formed into the Faculty of "creative specialties".

In 2015, the name of the faculty was changed to "art and culture".

In order to implement the main mission of the faculty — the principles of continuity and continuity of the stages of professional and pedagogical education, the Faculty aims to assemble complexes that unite single-profile educational institutions of preschool education, schools, universities, institutions of retraining and advanced training of teachers.

The faculty is provided with scientific and pedagogical personnel, highly qualified specialists. The faculty consists of doctors of science, professors, associate professors, candidates of science, people's artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the Union of artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, master of sports of international class, masters of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Faculty of Arts and sports is provided with educational materials necessary for the entire educational process for the preparation of educational programs. The buildings of the faculty are equipped with sanitary standards and fire safety equipment. Classrooms, laboratory bases, classrooms, dormitories and other places, and sports complexes meet the approved standards and regulations. The faculty has 7 academic buildings, 3 dormitories, sports halls, special classrooms.

In order to update and improve the material and technical base of educational programs, systematic work is being carried out.

The faculty has 21 computer classes, 2 language rooms and 2 electronic reading rooms. It is also equipped with 47 modern interactive projectors and 7 mobile LED systems.

On the basis of the faculty there is 1 Stadium, 5 sports halls, 8 Playgrounds, 2 Gymnastics Halls, 2 boxing halls, 3 gyms, 2 wrestling Halls, 2 table tennis Halls, 1 Street Varkaut Square, 1 Karate Hall, 1 Gambit Chess Club. At the sports bases of this university there are 39 sports clubs in 15 sports.

Zhaskilenova A. E. Candidate of Technical Sciences, acting associate professor in 2021 received the academic title of associate professor.

Koshkinbaeva Nurgul Rysbaevna graduated from the South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov with a PhD 6D012000 - "professional training" "formation of competitiveness of future teachers of artistic and creative direction".

Akurpekov Nurlan Sakenovich is a master of sports in boxing, honored coach of Kazakhstan, winner of the international tournament D. Shopokov (1994), winner of the championship of the Armed Forces of the USSR (1986).  "Honorary professor"of Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati,honored boxing coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, honorary figure of Physical Culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Nurlan Akurpekov was engaged in boxing from 1983 to 1994. Since 1992, he has been engaged in rehabilitation at the Hydro-Reclamation Institute in Taraz.

Nurlan Akurpekov is the personal coach of the Olympic champion in Athens, the winner of the Barker Cup, seven - time champion of Kazakhstan-Bakhtiyar Artayev. Nurlan Sakenovich is the coach of other top athletes, such as Olzhas Sattibayev, Gani Zhailauov, Abilkhan Amankul. Currently, he was the head coach of the professional boxing club" Astana-Arlans".

Serik Kerimbekovich Konakbayev-silver medalist of the Moscow Olympics (1980), Honored Master of sports of the USSR (1981), silver medalist of the world championship (1982), two-time winner of the European Championship (1979, 1981), 2-time champion of the Soviet Union. Member of the executive committee of the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) (2010-2014), deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of ii and IV convocations (1999-2011), vice - president for work with the judging Corps of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation.

Krykpay Galymzhan is a 3rd - year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and sports" of the M. H. Dulati Tarsu. Master of sports of the international class of the Republic of Kazakhstan in judo wrestling. Bronze medalist of the IX Summer Universiade of university students of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2017). Bronze medalist of the Republican tournament "Halyk Barysy" (2019). .  Bronze winner of the X - Summer Universiade of university students of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Winner of the XXX summer World Universiade in Napoli, Italy, in the Absolute Championship (2019).. Ruslan Zhaparov is a graduate of Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati.

Abilkhan Bekmuratovich Amankul is a student of the FC Group B16 of Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati.  Member of the national boxing team of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Pavlodar 2017), winner of the Asian Championship (Tashkent 2017), silver medalist of the world championship (Hamburg 2017),

 (Silver medalist of the 2017 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Hamburg, bronze medalist of the 2017 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships. Aslanbek Shymbergenov is a student of Yup group B15 of Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati. Master of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Member of the national boxing team of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Bronze medalist of the Asian Championship (Tashkent 2017), winner of the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Shymkent 2017), Best Boxer of the Republic of Kazakhstan – 2017, member of the professional boxing club "Astana-Arlans", winner of the World Boxing Series WSB (2017). Iskak Eldos is a student of the "Faculty of Law" of Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati.

The research work of the Faculty of Arts and sports is aimed at training competitive specialists in the field of "music and Applied Arts", "Design and fashion industry", "Initial Military Training and physical education", "theory of Physical Culture", "Methods of Physical Culture", "Culture and art", combining science with art, culture, education and sports, carrying out fundamental, research and applied works in the field of social and humanitarian sciences, developing creative abilities.

The research work of the faculty brings together active teaching staff and talented young people who are ready for research and project activities. In recent years, the scientific work of the faculty'S teaching staff has been increasing. Scientific articles of teaching staff and students are published in scientific journals approved by the committee for quality assurance in the field of Education and science, as well as in many international peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Methodological work is a set of measures aimed at providing the production process with educational and methodological documentation, improving the pedagogical skills of teachers, improving classroom and independent work of students, improving all forms, types and methods of educational work, taking into account the state and prospects of development of industrial enterprises, organizations, institutions, for which the University trains specialists.

The purpose of methodological work is to create favorable conditions for improving the efficiency and quality of the educational process. At the faculty level, methodological activities of the faculty and inter-department scale are carried out in connection with the training of specialists in the areas of the faculty.

Educational and methodological work is aimed at improving the methodology of teaching disciplines, direct methodological support of the educational process, implementation of recommendations developed as a result of the implementation of the NIU, improving the pedagogical competence of the teaching staff and includes:

• development of new educational programs in the areas of training specialists;
• development of working programs in newly introduced disciplines, revision of existing programs;
• creation and updating of new laboratory works;
• development of materials intended for student information control;
• creation of maps for providing disciplines with educational and methodological literature, educational and methodological documents;
• control of classes by the heads of the Department: individual visits to classes, participation in demonstration, open and trial classes;
• development of educational and program documentation necessary for the educational process;
• methodological support of production practices, development of an individual package of tasks for them;
• implementation of the results of scientific and methodological research, new information and educational technologies in the educational process;
• preparation of methodological support for independent work of students.

The Faculty of Arts and sports conducts many cultural events in various areas of the educational process. Scientific and practical conferences on various topics for students; youth actions; flash mobs, round tables; competitions of various creative genres (song and dance competitions, the best design of the dormitory room, the best student food, etc.); sports competitions, sports contests; care for orphanages, orphanages with disabilities, nursing homes; meetings are organized with prominent public and political figures, representatives of law enforcement agencies, health authorities and representatives of various religious denominations, journalists of TV channels and the Republican and regional mass Press, writers, artists, etc.

The plan of educational work of the faculty was developed and approved on the basis of the plan of educational work of our university for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The faculty has a total of  2532 students. Including:

The purpose of the educational work of the faculty is to train professionally qualified, competitive specialists who can meet the requirements of the new time, to form a responsible person who is harmoniously developed, fostering Kazakhstan's patriotism, tolerance, high moral qualities.

In order to educate young people who are educated, able to adapt to the changes of the market period, who are not indifferent to the fate and future of the nation, loving and patriotic, the "concept of educational work of Tarsu named after M. H. Dulati" was adopted at the University. On the basis of this concept, an annual work plan has been developed for each academic year, which includes 12 areas of educational work, Youth Policy and the development of the state language. The plan of educational work defines the strategic structure, priority directions and goals of the system of educational work at the University, the mechanism and timing of its implementation.

Main functions of educational work:

• Implementation of educational work in accordance with regulatory legal acts and administrative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, International and national quality standards, the Charter of the University;
• development, approval of the concepts of plans, etc., documents on the educational process, control over their implementation;
• Consideration of reports and reports of curators of academic groups and student public organizations of the faculty on the implementation of events in the course of organizing educational work;
• Verification of the quality of plans and reports on educational work of faculties, departments, student public organizations, their actual implementation;
• Planning and organizing the work of the Council of curators, the council for educational work of the faculty, the council for the Prevention of offenses, corruption and ethics;
