The history of Taraz State University dates back to 1958. It was then that a branch of the KAZAKH CHEMICAL-TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE was opened in the regional center. This educational institution was created with the aim of training qualified personnel for such enterprises of the regional center as a sugar factory, a meat factory, a shoe factory. Graduates of the Zhambyl Technological Institute were in demand in the light and food industries not only in our region, but also in other regions of the republic. Applications for young specialists began to come from everywhere.
