The Department of "Philosophy and political science" of Taraz regional university named after M. H. Dulati is one of the most advanced public departments with a deep history.   In 1998, after the university was transformed into a single educational institution of higher education (Technological Institute), higher education institution (Hydro-reclamation Institute) and higher education institution (Pedagogical Institute) and became Taraz State University named after M. H. Dulati, the Departments of "Philosophy" (headed by Associate Professor R. E. Zhunsheev) and "Cultural Studies" (headed by Associate Professor S. A. Omarov) were established.

In the 2003-2004 academic year, Taraz State Pedagogical Institute was separated from Taraz State University, and associate professor Zhanakulov T. zh.was appointed head of the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies at the University.

Since September 2013, the name of the department has changed to the Department of Philosophy and political science.

In the 2009-2014 academic year, the department was headed by Associate Professor M. zh.Spanov.

Кафедра «Философия и политология» Таразского регионального университета им.М. Х. Дулати является одной из ведущих общественных кафедр с глубокой историей.    Таразский государственный университет им.М.Х. Дулати был образован в 1998 годуна базе 3-х ведущих ВУЗов Жамбылской области:ЖТИЛПП(Технологический институт), ЖГМСИ(Гидро-мелиоративный институт) и ЖПИ(Пединститут). Заведующим кафедрой «Философия» был назначен доцент Р.Е.Жуншеев, а кафедрой «Культурология» - доцент С.А.Омаров.

В 2003-2004 учебном году из Таразского государственного университета выделился Таразский государственный педагогический институт. Заведующим кафедрой «Философия и культурология» в университете был назначен доцент Т. Ж. Жанакулов.

С сентября 2013 года кафедра«Философия и культурология» была переименованав кафедру«Философия и политология».

В 2009-2014 учебном году заведующим кафедрой был доцент М. Ж. Спанов.

Запланированная в университетской Стратегии развития методическая работа кафедры в 2020-2025 гг. успешнореализуется на практике. По методическим новшествам преподаватели кафедры награждены дипломами за 1 и 3 места в номинации «ППС педагогических специальностей вузов, проводящих обучение по педагогическому направлению» регионального этапа республиканского конкурса «Панорама педагогических идей» среди вузов.

Преподаватели кафедры обладают высоким уровнем преподавания,широко используют современные технологии обучения, активные методы и приемы обучения.

Профессорско-преподавательский состав кафедры «Философия и политология» занимается активной научно-исследовательской работой по актуальным направлениям современной философии, политологии, культурологии, религиоведения в соответствии с планом НИР университета, отражающим исследования в области социально-гуманитарных дисциплин и утверждающим основные направления научных программ кафедры.

 Преподаватели кафедры и студенты 1,2 курсов принимают активное участие в исследовательской работе. В целях привлечения студентов к научной работе и повышения интереса к науке на кафедре функционирует студенческий научно-познавательный кружок «Логос».

Под руководством преподавателей студенты собирают материалы по сложным, актуальным вопросам современности в философской, культурной, духовно-нравственной, религиозной, политической, правовой,социальной и др. областях, участвуют в конференциях университетского, регионального, республиканского и международного уровней, выступают с научными докладами, аргументируя свои предложения с научной точки зрения. 

 Коллектив кафедры достиг многих успехов в качестве организатора воспитательных мероприятий на уровне университета, области и города. Статьи преподавателей, пропагандирующие нравственность, духовность, нравственность, публикуются в общественных изданиях «Университет тынысы», «Акжол», «Знамя труда», «Арай». Также в целях правильного формирования у студентов религиозного мировоззрения и защиты молодежи от влияния религиозно-радикальных течений коллективом кафедры проводятся круглые столы, дискуссии, беседыв студенческих общежитиях.

The mission is to provide professional training for students and trainees in the field of criminal law and procedure in all specialties and areas of training.
The disciplines of the department represent the main part of the professional training of lawyers.
