for 2020-2023

One of the ways to attract financial resources for the development of scientific research is the participation of university faculty in competitions for the financing of scientific projects.

Almost annually, both through the Ministry of Science and Education of RK and within the framework of other ministries, departments and organizations, competitions are organized and held to provide grants for the implementation of scientific projects.

Over the last three academic years, the university faculty members have participated in 12 competitions for R&D funding, where about 90 research projects were submitted. The most important of them are the following competitions:

• Competition for grant funding of scientific projects conducted by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Competition for grant funding of young scientists on the project "Zhas galym", conducted by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Competition for scientific projects, within the framework of program-targeted financing of R&D, also conducted by Ministry of Science and Education of RK, MoA, MoNE and other agencies of the RK once in three years;
• Competition for grants for SNA and MNS groups on commercialization of scientific developments conducted by Ministry of Science and Education of RK in cooperation with the International Bank for Development and Reconstruction;
• Competition for grant funding of commercialization projects held by the "Science Foundation" JSC.

9 projects of our scientists for a total amount of 424,768,382 tenge (project leaders: Kozhamzharova D., Muratbekov M., Isabekova G., Buzaubakova K., Smatova K., Junisbekov M., Alimbayeva S.) were approved in the competition of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for grant financing of scientific and (or) scientific-technical projects for 2020-2022, 2021-2023, 2022-2024, 2023-2025.

For 2021-2023, 2022-2024, 2023-2025 in the competition of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for grant financing of young scientists on scientific and (or) scientific-technical projects and the project "Zhas galym" approved 9 projects of our young scientists for a total amount of 252,568,928 tenge (project leaders Kabdushev A., Kalmakhanova M., Atenov Y., Shanshabaev N., Kasenova T., Nusipali R., Kudaybergenova R., Kabanbayev A., Murzakhmetov A.).

University professors became winners of various R&D competitions.

Scientists of the University actively participate in various competitions for prizes, grants, personal scholarships. In the competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education "The best teacher of the university", 6 teachers of Dulaty University have won in the last 3 years.

Winners of the competition "The best teacher of the university" in 2023 were Master of Chemistry Senior Lecturer of the Department of "Chemistry and Chemical Technologies" Kudaybergenova R. and Ph.D. Professor of the Department of "Automation and Telecommunications" Junisbekov M.Sh. who are the leaders of scientific projects grant funding Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2022-2023 academic year, two teachers (Smatova Klara Begaliyevna and Kasenova Tolkyn Kalmakhanovna) became the winners of the annual competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The best teacher of the university".

In 2020-2021 academic year, four teachers (Abdukarimova Z.T., Abdrahman G.K., Mynbayeva A.B., Baytilenova E.S.) became the winners of the annual competition of the MES RK "The best teacher of the university".

INVENTION

The Taraz Regional University named after M.KH. Dulaty develops scientific directions, defines priority areas for the development of science and technology, concentrates available resources in these areas, creates a new technological base for the industrial development of the country and creates new mechanisms for market functioning in the scientific area.

Taraz Regional University named after M.KH. Dulaty, with a history of sixty years, is the largest patent holder in the region. The reason for this is the availability of material, scientific, technical and production facilities, which enable university scientists to carry out more higher scientific researches at the highest scientific and technical level.

The University's intellectual property activities are coordinated by the “Patents and Metrology” Section of the R&D Organisation and Coordination Department. The sector is effectively working to ensure that an innovation patent and a Republic of Kazakhstan patent based on the scientific novelty of scientists based on the above-mentioned research results are submitted to the National Institute of Intellectual Property for an industrial patent application. It provides advisory support to teachers, students, doctoral students and undergraduates on issues of protection and industrial property protection, patent research studies. The university's patent collection is updated annually with special bulletins and literature. Dean of "Oil and gas and mechanics" faculty K.K.Shilibek and head of "Patents and metrology" department N.J.Jolamanov published books in 2010 based on inventions "100 inventions of doctor of technical sciences, professor A.Abduramanov" according to the security documents received within the last nineteen years in 2018, "Bibliographic Index of Intellectual Property of TarSU named after M.KH. Dulaty (1999-2018)”, in 2013 "Inventions in the Field of Hydraulic Engineering and Life Safety by professor S. Koibakov".

In the field of inventions, activity is shown by professor A.A. Abdramanov, doctor of technical sciences, professor S. Koibakov, doctor of technical sciences, professor I. Bekbasarov, doctor of technical sciences, professor A.A. Sagyndykov, candidate of technical sciences, professor A.Asanov, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor S. Zholdosov.

Inventions are mainly focused on the production of high-performance materials, machines and technologies, for the light, food, chemical, hydraulic and construction industries. The university is currently working closely with the National Institute of Intellectual property.

Authorship and invention figures of the university for 2020-2022

At the same time, university inventors regularly participated in the national competition “Shapagat” organised by the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan for inventions, and some of them won.  In 2014, by order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S. Koibakov was awarded the title "Honoured Inventor" of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the results of the IX National Contest "Shapagat" in the field of inventions, Professor A.Abdramanov won the Gold Medal "for contribution to the field of inventions and patents" of the Eurasian Patent Organization. V.I. Blinnikov.

Associate Professor K.K. Shilibek, PhD, was awarded the "Best Inventor" diploma and a gold medal from the World Intellectual Property Organisation for the dissemination of industrial property patents and inventions.

Over the past three years, 60 monographs by university scholars have been published. To ensure the quality of monographs, all monographs prepared at the university since 2013 are sent to the State National Scientific and Technical Expertise Center for plagiarism testing. Only on the basis of the official opinion of this organization were monographs prepared by faculty members published.

In the context of today's globalization and international integration of science, the requirements for publication have changed dramatically. We know that the H-index, which determines the status of scientists in the global scientific community, is an indicator of a scientist's scientific metrics. This indicator illustrates the quantitative characteristics of a scientist, research group, scientific organization, or the scientific productivity of a country based on scientific articles and references to that article. The total number of publications published in journals included in the Web of Science and Scopus databases is 798.

Each year university faculty and staff have more than 1,000 publications in various publications as scholarly articles. For example, 1,573 papers were published in 2022.
