The main activities of the Department are conducting research and teaching disciplines in the fields of transport and transport technology, as well as the organization of transportation, traffic and transport operation.
The Department has a modern material and technical base, which includes seven specialized laboratories and four specialized offices. Specialized offices and laboratories are equipped with all the necessary operating stands, models, engines and equipment for repair and testing of equipment.
Currently, the Department has 135 full-time students and 327 part-time students. Over the past 3 years, the Department staff has published 7 textbooks, 56 IMCS, 32 training programs, published about 40 articles and analytical reviews of a scientific nature. In addition, the library purchased more than 30 titles of various technical literature.
Since the establishment of the Department, the following heads have worked in different years: Omarov Edilbek Omarovich-1994-1997, Ayazbay Marat Dildabekovich-1997-2000, semernin Alexander Nikolaevich - from 2000-2019, Baymuratov Dauren Sharipovich - from 2019 to the present.
