The department of Organization and Coordination of Research and Development is a division of the Department of Science and Technology Commercialization of M.Kh. Dulaty TarSU. The department of Organization and Coordination of Research and Development was created with the aim of deeply understanding and scientifically substantiating processes for improving the main activities of organizations of various forms of cooperative ownership, and ensuring the interconnection of scientific and practical activities at M.Kh. Dulaty TarSU

Main tasks of Organization and Coordination of Research and Development Department:

• • ensuring effective interaction and coordination of the structural units of the university in the implementation of research activities;
• • creation of conditions for the strengthening and development of university science by protecting intellectual property and copyright of developers;
• • propaganda of scientific and technical achievements of scientists of the university and other universities, as well as scientific, design, development and production organizations and enterprises;
• • expansion of international scientific and technical cooperation with educational and scientific institutions, manufacturing firms of foreign countries on the profile of the university;
• • establishing a close relationship of scientific research with academic work at the university departments with the involvement of teachers and students in scientific activities;
• • development of innovative and international activities of the university in the research field based on the integration of educational, scientific and innovative processes;
• • involvement of teachers, staff and students in scientific and innovative activities;
• • development of student innovation structures;
• • organization and coordination of research activities of the university faculty;
• • organization and holding of contests, seminars, conferences, exhibitions.

Main functions of Organization and Coordination of Research and Development Department:

• • organization of the implementation of the research work provided for in the thematic plan of research work of M.Kh. Dulaty TarSU, and determining the prospects for their development in the relevant field of knowledge;
• • selection of methods and means of research and development, ways to solve the tasks;
• • development of projects of long-term work plans of the unit and their presentation to the university management;
• • fulfillment of tasks and contractual obligations stipulated by the plan;
• • organization of research work of students and undergraduates and doctoral students according to the topics of their scientific work;
• • coordination of research work at M.Kh. Dulaty TarSU in promising, priority areas of the scientific and technological complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• • communication between the departments in the field of their research work;
• • coordination of research work on promising topics;
• • comply with the requirements of the QMS of the university;
• • carry out tasks and activities stipulated by the Development Strategy of M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University for 2019-2022.

Organization and Coordination of Research and Development Department consist of:

• • R&D and Student Scientific Research sector;
• • sector of patents and metrology;

Scientific research at the university is characterized by a wide range of areas and includes fundamental, applied and experimental design work. The research work of university teachers is divided into the following types: search and initiative, carried out in accordance with the thematic plan of the university and included in the composition of individual academic staff plans; financed from the republican and local budgets, as well as on the basis of business agreements with enterprises and organizations; carried out under international treaties and financed by international organizations.

Currently, the university’s research work in accordance with the approved research plan for 2018-2021 is carried out in 15 scientific areas, combining 104 initiative-search topics, covering the solution of economic, environmental, technical, technological, social, educational, legal and other pressing problems of Zhambyl region and republic. Of these, 2 are fundamental, 92 are applied, and 10 are experimental design. The research activity of the university is carried out at 7 faculties, 42 departments, in 2 research institutes, 10 research centers and 1 engineering research laboratory.
