The educational-methodical department is a structural unit of M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University also reports directly to the director of the department of academic policy. EMD is guided by the regulatory and administrative documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Academic Council and the administration, the Charter of the University, as well as internal regulatory documents in the field of organization of educational and methodical work.
MAIN FUNCTIONS OF DEPARTMENT:
- • organization of the educational process based on the credit system of education;
- • approval of the teaching loads of the academic staff;
- • monitoring the distribution of the teaching load of academic staff in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the university and changing the staffing of departments;
- • ensuring the organization, approval and conduct of (external, internal, substantive, technical) examination of study programs (SP);
- • formation of the list of chairmen of the SCC by specialties;
- • preparation of draft orders on the approval of graduation projects by students, supervisors and reviewers;
- • preparation of draft orders for the payment of chairmen of state certification commissions, exam on the “History of Kazakhstan”, reviewers and opponents;
- • organization and monitoring of the final certification of students in accordance with the academic calendar;
- • providing structural divisions (faculties, departments) with approved SPs / WCs, academic calendars;
- • making suggestions for improving the regulatory legal documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the university;
- • providing university training departments with normative materials, state obligatory standard of education (SOSE) and standard curricula (SC) of SP and standard programs in compulsory disciplines;
- • organization of participation of faculties in the development of SOSE and standard programs;
- • making suggestions for the preparation of curricula, the formation and updating of databases of catalogs of elective disciplines;
- • methodological support and monitoring of the development of educational programs, a catalog of descriptions of educational programs, syllabuses, teaching aids, teaching aids and textbooks to improve the educational process in accordance with credit training technology;
- • introduction of modern educational-methodological and didactic materials into the educational process;
- • study, synthesis and dissemination of best practices of universities in the field of educational and methodical work;
- • organization of the participation of the faculty in a scientific and practical conference on higher education;
- • providing blank documentation in accordance with regulatory documents;
- • participation in the development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the QMS of the University in accordance with the requirements of MS ISO 9001: 2015.
GOAL AND TASKS
The goal of EMD is to manage the educational process and systematically improve it through the use of advanced technologies and tools that contribute to improving the efficiency of the educational process and the quality of training.
The main tasks of EMD include:
- • Organization of the educational process and educational and methodological support of the educational process as a whole;
- • Organization of designing educational programs in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna process;
- • Organization and conduct of expert work on the content of educational programs and teaching materials of academic staff;
- • Development of recommendations for long-term plans for the development of the university;
- • Coordination of training documentation with the regulatory framework established by the state and the university and control over compliance with established standards;
- • Systematic analysis of educational process indicators.
EMD consists of three sectors: educational-methodical, information support and innovative technologies and trilingual education. Each of which is headed by a leader with experience in scientific and pedagogical work at a university.
