On 4 June 2025, Dulaty University welcomed a delegation from Lanzhou University of Technology (China) as part of efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation. The visit was an important step in developing the partnership between the two universities, aimed at exchanging knowledge and innovations in the field of science and education.
Founded in 1919 as Gansu Provincial Technical College, Lanzhou University of Technology is now a leading university in China with a strong engineering base and achievements in the natural sciences and humanities.
The Chinese delegation consisted of:
- Zheng Xiaoping – Vice President of Lanzhou University of Technology;
- Hua Xicheng – Deputy Director of the Finance Department;
- Rao Xupeng – Dean of the School of Marxism;
- Han Wei – Dean of the School of New Energy;
- Qian Deyun – Deputy Dean of the School of Humanities;
- Wang Haizhen – Director of the Confucius Institute.
The following representatives from Dulaty University participated in the meeting:
- Lyazzat Erkinbaeva – Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs;
- Sholpan Esimova – Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization;
- Seitzhan Orynbaev – Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalisation;
- Aslan Turlybek – Member of the Board – Vice-Rector for Social and Cultural Development;
- Deans of faculties: Gulnur Issabekova (Faculty of Philology and Humanities), Aisulu Turarova (Faculty of Pedagogy and Social Sciences), Kairat Ernishev (Faculty of Economics and Law), Bolat Tasuov (Faculty of Natural Sciences), Abilhan Sadibaev (Faculty of Technology).
During the visit, the guests visited the university museum, where they learned about its history and achievements.
During the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between Dulaty University and Lanzhou University of Technology. The document confirms the parties' intentions to develop joint educational and scientific projects, contributing to the strengthening of academic ties.
This visit opens up new opportunities for Dulaty University and contributes to strengthening international cooperation in the field of education and science.
