As part of the implementation of recommendations of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR), work is underway to enhance the content, graduate profile, and educational process of the 7M01702 program (“Training of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature”), aligning them with modern requirements for teacher training.
Following IAAR recommendations, Section 9.4—"Personal and Moral-Ethical Qualities and the Graduate's Educational-Professional Trajectory"—has been added to the program's graduate profile. This section comprises three subsections: personal qualities, moral-ethical qualities, and the educational-professional trajectory: Bachelor’s → Master’s → Doctoral studies → Further professional development.
Including this section provides a more comprehensive and objective view of the graduate—not merely as a philology specialist, but also as an individual, a citizen, and a practitioner committed to professional ethics. Particular emphasis is placed on responsibility, critical thinking, the capacity for self-development, and adherence to standards of professional ethics and academic integrity.
A key area for the program's development is the adoption of international approaches and standards regarding artificial intelligence (AI). Plans are in place to phase modern principles of responsible AI use into the educational process, while ensuring compliance with requirements for academic integrity, data protection, and professional ethics.
Special importance is attached to developing AI literacy among future teachers—including understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI, critically evaluating information, verifying the accuracy of results, and using AI tools responsibly in educational practice.
In accordance with IAAR recommendations, the university ensures transparency regarding the process of enhancing the educational program. Starting from September 1, 2026, information regarding planned and implemented changes will be regularly published on the university’s official information channels, including the university website, the department’s webpages, and social media. At least two updates are scheduled to be released during the academic year.
These measures aim to enhance the quality of the educational program, develop the professional and personal competencies of future teachers, foster a culture of responsible artificial intelligence use, and ensure transparency in educational activities.
