Professional Biography

Amina Rafaelyevna Shamshieva is a senior instructor of Chinese, translator, and methodologist with over 15 years of experience in foreign language teaching. She received her education and training in China—a period that proved pivotal in shaping her professional approach and deep understanding of the Chinese language and culture. Amina is a translator and actively develops her interpreting program. She currently works at the university, where she supervises the second-year course. Almost all of the Chinese language teachers in the city are her students, having completed their training and methodological preparation under her supervision. She specializes in developing effective Chinese language teaching methods, including the associative method for learning Chinese characters. She presented this topic at a methodology seminar in 2025 and is currently preparing a research paper on the advantages and results of this approach. She prepares students for international exams (HSK), combining academic rigor with practice-oriented learning. She places particular emphasis on developing students' linguistic confidence, systems thinking, and motivation. Her professional interests include Chinese language teaching methods, translator training, academic mobility, the development of language education projects, and the integration of modern educational approaches into teaching.
